Abstract

This panels brings back actors in the forefront in attempting to analyse why diverse institutional reforms are adopted, and how political actors can shape the format, the direction and the moments when institutional reforms are adopted. The preferences of political actors and their change over time are investigated in particular.Papers focus on the analysis of veto points, on the analysis of party reform, on politics of transparency, left tax consumption, and electoral system change.
