Abstract

The intitutional design of subnational government differs amongst countries and affect significantly governance, multilevel arrangements, political representation, and policy implementation. This panel gathers cases where such institutional contexts are taken into consideration and aims at discussing the relevance of further exploring subnational institutional mechanisms.
